The Texas B.A.S.S. Nation State Club Challenge is designed to foster competition among the affiliated clubs of Texas B.A.S.S. Nation to determine which club will claim the title as the Champion Club of the Year. This event is by invitation only to Texas B.A.S.S. Nation Clubs that have met the requirements of being a club in good standing.
Texas B.A.S.S. Affiliated Clubs authorized the following:
- Clubs are allowed to send one (6) man team (3 boats of two anglers per boat) for every 12 Texas B.A.S.S. Nation members. Clubs are limited to (3) teams.
- There must be an equal number of Boaters & Partners. Each boat must have two anglers. It is suggested that back-up boats be available in case of break down.
- Club President will be responsible to assemble the forms, and entry fees to be sent to Texas B.A.S.S. Nation President. Club President will designate a Team Captain on entry form.
- All Clubs, and club members, must be in good standing with BASSMASTER, BASS Nation and Texas BASS Nation for the qualifying year and current year for qualification. (Previously affiliated clubs may be permitted to compete by decision of State President upon club paying appropriate dues.)
- Any Region whose membership results in no club being able to field a Club Challenge Team may field a 6-man team comprised of members from more than one (1) club above per approval of State President.
- Texas College Clubs are allowed to send (1) team. All members must in good standing with BASSMASTER, BASS Nation and Texas BASS Nation.
- Clubs must attach previous years Club Qualification Point Sheet with their entry. College and Region teams are exempt.
- PRIZES, AWARDS, and FORMAT:
- Awarded spots will be paid out to one team for every five team entries.
- Team entry fee is $630.00 which includes big bass pot. Payout is 80% of entry after Big Bass fee of $30 is deducted.
- Big Bass fee – included in entry fee with payout to (boater and partner) with largest fish each day. Check will be addressed to the boater. ($500 per day (+plaque) based on 35 teams)
- Plaques awarded to clubs in Places 1-3 for Boater and Partner of the team.
- Photos, recognition on State website as “Champion Club” for full year, article possibly published in BASS Times.
- Two-Day (Friday-Saturday) event to be held in Spring of each year
- Club Challenge off-limits period (No off-limits), with Official Practice Days being Wednesday &Thursday preceding the tournament.
- Entry Forms must be received 15 days prior to Official Practice period. Late entries will be accepted with $50 late fee.
- Club Challenge Lake submitted by nominations from the Regional Directors, and shall be approved by majority vote of the Regional Directors / President / and State Officers at Quarterly board meeting. Lake acceptance is dependent on acceptable community participation.
- Boaters are required to provide copy of boat insurance with club entry. All boats must be checked during designated “Boat Checks” per event agenda.
- This is not a draw event. Clubs will determine the anglers in each of their team boats. Changing of partners will NOT be permitted after the start of event. In event a team member needs to withdraw the clubs alternate may be activated without penalty. If club alternate not listed/available then club will lose that team boat.
- Payouts will be made to the (CLUB) and not to individual(s) except for daily big bass pot.
