Just as humans exhale CO2, bass emit gases that are harmful to themselves if kept in a non vented compartment….like a livewell. So how do you keep from killing your own catch? Prop the lid open, keep the water cool (it holds more oxygen in solution when its cold) and pump new water in as much as possible. Especially in the summer months!
