The final weekend for the North Central region trail, we did have a much better turnout for Lake Ray Roberts and Eagle Mountain and there was some good stringers brought to the scales. The wind was up but the anglers worked through it for a good time on the water. The first day on Ray Roberts found Byron Albrict at the top of the leader board once again with a 15.77 lbs sack followed up by Kent Sikes with 13.56 lbs and third went to Robert Brown with 11.27 lbs and big bass went to Mark Wendler with a 6.22 pounder and then we moved on to day two on Eagle Mountain where Mark Wendler picked up the 1st place finish with a 13.97 lb bag followed by Albert Collins with a 13.12 lb bag and the third place honors went to Timmy Smeal with a 12.65 lb bag and the big fish went to Hershel Smith with a nice 5.48 pounder to end the weekend.
We also need to double back to last month where we had Granbury and Lake Whitney on the schedule but Mother Nature played a bad joke on us on Granbury in which we had to counsel due to server storms but the next day on Whitney was a good day of fishing. First place went to Bryon Abricht with 12.73 pounds and followed up by Gary Bowien with 10.66 pounds and Robert Brown with 10.55 pounds and big bass went to Robert brown with a 5.09 pounder.
Although our season started off rocky we have manage to come back with a championship field of 12 Anglers which will be held on Still Hollow lake between Belton and Killeen on Oct 19th/20th 2019.
