The Texas B.A.S.S. Nation has finally completed scheduling the 2020 TBTT Season. We apologize for not having this out sooner but we faced some issues with trying to set these events so as to not conflict with some TBN events and other circuits that our team anglers have shown interest in.
The TBTT for 2020 has a few changes this year. First, the four qualifying events will be presented by 4 of the TBN Regions. The respective region directors will be host and serve as tournament director.
The season will start on February 16th at Lake Conroe presented by the Southeast Region with Director Eddie Dillow serving as tournament director. This event will be the day following the Southeast Region’s event.
On March 28th the TBTT second qualifier will be held on Bob Sandlin Lake. This event is being presented by the TBN Northeast Region and Director George Bryan serving as tournament director.
The TBTT’s 3rd stop will be at Stillhouse Hollow Lake on April 25th presented by the North Central Region with Director Randy Fleeman serving as tournament director.
The fourth and final qualifying event will be on June 20th at Possum Kingdom Lake presented by the Northwest Region. Region Director Kelley Hudson will serve as tournament director.
The Texas Bassmaster Team Trail Championship for 2020 will be held on Lake Limestone. This event will be a two day event on September 26th & 27th and presented by the Texas B.A.S.S. Nation. I will be serving as tournament director for the championship.
As last year the TBTT will be allowed to send one team for every 20 teams registered for 2020 to the Bassmaster Team Championship presented by the B.A.S.S. Nation. In the past we have only been able to send two or three teams to this event. The qualification to advance to this event is from the TBTT Championship. Qualifying teams advancing will have their $500 entry fee paid for by the Texas B.A.S.S. Nation. At this event one angler will qualify to compete in the 2021 Bassmaster Classic.
We encourage all team members to read the 2020 TBTT Rules and Regulations. There have been a few changes this year. One change is that teams have to participate in at least three (3) qualifier events to receive automatic qualification to the TBTT Championship. The winners of a qualifier event will receive automatic qualification to the TBTT Championship after participating in two (2) events. To qualify for Team of the Year a team must participate in all four (4) qualifier events and the TBTT championship.
Please take notice that there will be two ways to complete the registration for the events. All Mailed/Courier entries must be postmarked ten (10) days prior to the event date. All Online entries must be completed by midnight the Sunday prior to the event. All checks will be made out to the Texas B.A.S.S. Nation. After these deadline dates the entries will be considered late and there will be a $25 late fee which also apply to entries processed at the final registration the day before the event from 4pm-6pm at the designated launch site.
Please help spread the word. For this event the anglers do not have to be a B.A.S.S. Nation member. There is a one time $40 per angler dues for all Non-B.A.S.S. Nation angler. There are no Bassmaster Team dues for B.A.S.S. Nation members that are members of an affiliated B.A.S.S. Nation Club.
