The North Central regional held its 2020 championship on Hubbard Creek on the 24 and 25 of October, 2020. The weather was great, a little cool on the first day and the wind was perfect both days which contributed to some great fishing.
Day one proved that the tournament was going to be close one with Brian Bustilloz with a five fish limit of 18.63 with a 6.87 kicker. In second was Byron Albrecht with a solid 16.54 and Justin Royal with 16.52.
Then on the Co Angler side Randy Fleeman came in with a three fish limit for 8.84 followed by Jim Justus with 3 fish for 4.89.
Day two was pretty much the same except the leaderboard changed with the win going to Byron Albrecht with a final total of 32.59 pounds and being crowned the champion for the North Central region moving him to the 2021 state team.
In a very close second was Justin Royal with a final weight of 30.62 pounds. Justin earned the title of 2020 Angler of The Year. No small feat on any tournament trail. This means you were the most consistent angler in the field, all year.
On the Co-Angler side, Randy Fleeman went wire to wire with a final day three fish limit of 11.79 pounds. That gave him 6 fish for a two day total of 20.63 pounds. In second on the co-angler side was Dalton Walters with 6 fish total of 14.96 pounds. That put Fleeman on the State Team for 2021, his third year in a row to advance to the state Team.
Dan Watson earned the title of 2020 Co-Angler of The Year. No small feat on any tournament trail. This means you were the most consistent co-angler in the field, all year.
