After a month break, this weekend found the South Region on Amistad Reservoir for a doubleheader. Saturday was sunny and “breezy” with southwesterlies building throughout the day to a steady 20.
Daniel Rodriguez sorted through big numbers of short fish to put together a winning weight of #11.13.
Robert Brieden was a close 2nd with #11.05 and his #6.37 kicker was Saturday’s Big Bass, all flipping a pumpkin craw in standing timber.
Cory Leita brought home 3rd with #10.70.
Sunday the wind dropped a bit while the temperature climbed with the high in the upper 90s
Ryan Watkins threw a 8” swimbait all day to bring in the winning bag of #11.26. Bruce White was a pound back with #10.26 for 2nd place, and Craig Crim was a close 3rd with #10.23. Ted Sprencel brought in Sunday’s Big Bass of #4.16.
