Saturday was a great weather day as far as summer weather is concerned. Light breeze in the morning that increased through the day and not as hot as the previous day. We scaled back on the bag limit to 3 fish in the interest of fish care and everybody checked in at 1:00 pm. We paid four places at the tournament.
Congratulations to David Kipp & Justin Rogers that brought a limit to the scales that went 11.99 lbs. They also had the big bass of the day that went 5.49 lbs.
Second place went to Brian Jones and Matt Russell, also with a limit, that weighed 11.49 lbs.
Third place went to Ty Grissom and Mark Grissom with a total weight of 7.67 lbs. Their big fish went 4.99 lbs.
Fourth place went to Bill Huskins and Ed Caskey with a limit that went 7.52 lbs.
We decided to invite the top two teams from this event to the Team State Championship on Rayburn September 9-10. So congratulations to the Kipp/Rogers Team and and Team Grissom. Brian Jones actually finished second in this event but was already qualified for the State Championship so we moved down the standings.
