Day 1
Central Texas weather provided an interesting day on day one of the Team championship. It rained!! A very welcome site in Texas. An overcast morning yielded to sun mid-day and another shower between 1 pm and 2 pm. It didn’t hinder the fishing for some though.
Colin Bode and Mark Goetzman brought a 20 lb sack to the scales but a dead fish knocked them down to 19.91 total weight. Their kicker fish was 4.70 lbs. A great start to the two day event.
Second was secured by the team of Aaron Wilkerson and Wes Bennett with a five fish limit that weighed-in at 18.22 lbs.
Third place went to Colby Bryant and Wesley Baxley also with five fish and total weight of 17.43 lbs. Coby & Wesley secured big bass of the day with an awesome 7.31 lb largemouth.
Day 2 promises to be good weather and will determine which two teams advance to the National Team Championship on Harris Chain of Lakes December 6-9 in Leesburg, FL.
Day 2
Trevor Romans and David Rush are the TBN Team State Champions!! They had a five fish limit today for 17.21 lbs that put them on top with a total weight of 43.14 lbs. Trevor and David will advance to the National Team Championship on Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg Florida December 6-9. Congratulations!!
After leading on Day 1 Collin Bode and Mark Goetzman finished second overall with 32.80 lbs. They will also make the trip to Leesburg Florida in December. Congratulations to Collin and Mark!!
