10 teams faced off this past Saturday at LBJ for the third round of the 2024 Texas Bass Nation South Region Team Trail. The spawn was in swing and mother nature was kind with light winds, overcast skies, and temperatures in the mid 70s.
Team Musselman/Funderburk found the pattern fishing grass on main lake points, and ground out a limit. Coming to the scales with a winning weight of 24.08 pounds, Jason’s bucketmouth 9.71 kicker was the tournament big bass!
Newcomers to the South Region Team Trail, Caleb Rooker and Ben Stripling, made their introduction with a five fish limit of 20.91, anchored by a 7.11 and earning a second place payday.
Team Ferro/Bishop, no strangers to the podium, earned a podium finish third place with a full bag weighing in at 17.81.
Next month anglers will square off at Choke Canyon, Calliham Unit. The battle for team of the year is close, so it promises to be a great tournament. Look forward to seeing you there.
