2024 North Central Region Team Standings
The 4th tournament of the North Central Region Teams series had to be moved to Eagle Mountain Lake due to flooding at Lake Whitney.
Hopefully the high water has a chance to go down before the last stop at Belton Lake in June. If not, we will try Whitney again if it has opened.
Eagle Mountain proved to be a bit challenging on Saturday. All the gates were open, and the fish seemed to be in a bit of a funk. 18 teams competed, and 4 limits were weighed in. A total of 97 fish were brought to the scales, and everyone of them were released back into the lake after weigh in. A big thanks to all the anglers as we have not had a dead fish yet this season.
The team of Chris Freeman and Ben Hale came in first with 5 fish and a 4.93 Kicker for a total weight of 13.85 pounds. They caught their fish on rocky points with a buzz bait and wacky rig senko.
Rob Paxton and alternate Mike Zierath finished second with 4 fish weighing 12.86 pounds. 2 of their fish came off the dam, one on a trick worm and one on a wacky senko. The other two came on a Carolina Rig with a M Pack Shad.
Third place and big bass went to the team of Trevor Romans and David Rush. The also had 4 fish, with a 6.91 Big Bass.
All in all, a beautiful day on the lake and everyone made it back safely. Look forward to seeing everyone at Lake Belton in June.
