State Championship Qualification is simple:
(1) Compete within your Texas B.A.S.S. Nation Affiliated Club and earn an entry – either as a Boater or a Co-Angler. Clubs are allowed to enter up to 60% of their membership, rounded up when unequal numbers exist. The registration is processed by the Club President and must maintain an equal number of both Boaters and Co-Anglers. Any exceptions are approved by the State President – or –
(2) Compete in your Texas B.A.S.S. Nation Affiliated Region Trail and earn an entry as either a Boater or Co-Angler. Regions are allowed to register up to half of the total event average amount of anglers that competed in the qualifying year’s tournament trail, rounded down when unequal numbers exist.
(3) Angler of the Year standings will be utilized to offer invitations as both Boater and Co-Angler. Regional Directors shall oversee completion and submitting of entry forms and fees, with an equal number of Boaters and Co-Anglers.
The Texas B.A.S.S. Nation Championship is an entry-fee based two-day event, where the top four (4) Boaters and (4) Co-Anglers will advance to the B.A.S.S. Nation Central Regional Tournament, as part of the Texas B.A.S.S. Nation State Team. The Central Regional Tournament will be held in 2019 somewhere in the Central U.S. The highest place finishers (1 Boater and 1 Co-Angler) from each State will then advance to the B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship.
