Eighteen anglers ventured out April Sunday morning with high hopes of catching lots of fish and lots of good fish. Unfortunately Mother Nature threw a curve ball at us with a mild Northern. Which really shut the fish down and on top of that the winds laid later in the day which is not a good thing on Amistad. As usual we always will have a winner and it just so
happened to be Derrick Kuyrkendall with a five fish limit of 11.63 for First Place and Dan Rodriguez landed in Second Place with 11.03. Couple of nice fish were weighed in for Big Bass but Robert Butler walked away
with the honors tipping the scales at 5.93 (Pictured right) which also put him in Third Place.
Tournament Number Three on Amistad

Everybody was on the prowl, looking for bedding fish on Amistad. A few
of the anglers that fished this pass Sunday said they had seen a few
bedding but not as many as they were expecting too see. Fish are up
shallow but most of which were buck bass and a lot of cruising going on.
Some of the anglers stated seeing beds but they were empty.
Winners for our third event of the year were Robert Bulter taking First
Place with 10.08 and also capturing the Big Bass award with a 5.96 pound
bass. Second went to Derick Kuyrkendall who is always a threat on this lake
with 9.90 and finally in Third Place was Matthew Lange with five fish
limit of 9.12. See complete results and year-to-date standings.
