Big Bass Results

A full on blue bird day started with 36 degrees and light winds. The 13 boat field launched at daylight and everyone brought fish to the scales.

First place went to James Seymore and Tony McBride with a 5 fish limit of 16,03 lbs. Good enough to take top honors and a $1000 dollar check.

Big bass honors went to Charlie Barnes with a 5.48 lb kicker. That fish anchored the second place team of Justin Hallmark and Charlie with a total weight of 15.09 lbs.

In third place was the team of Wesley Baxley & Colby Bryant with a five fish limit of 14.03 lbs.

It was a tough day of fishing for our group with sub par bags driven mostly by the conditions.

Texas Bassmaster Team Trail First Qualifier on Rayburn

For those teams interested in an easy and economical way to the Bassmaster Classic, get on board with TBTT. For a $150 entry fee fish with a friend, compete for bragging rights and qualify for the TBTT Championship in October. For more details, rules and online registration visit the TBTT page.

The first qualifier for 2021 is scheduled for March 20th at Jackson Hill Park.

Texas B.A.S.S. Nation is pleased to offer its membership another path to qualify for the Bassmaster Classic. Your team must qualify to compete in the Texas Bassmaster Team Trail (TBTT) Championship. To qualify for the TBTT Championship your team must participate in at least two (2) qualifier events to receive automatic qualification to the TBTT Championship. To qualify for Team of the Year a team must participate in all three (3) qualifier events and the TBTT championship. The TBTT Championship is a two day event where the highest finishing team or team(s) will earn a berth to the National Bassmaster Team Championship. The National Bassmaster Team Championship is an entry fee based, national, two day event where the top three teams advance to the Bassmaster Team Classic event, which will be held the same week, following the Bassmaster Team Championship. Six boats will be provided at the Bassmaster Team Classic event, whereby each competitor will then compete individually to win a birth to the Bassmaster Classic.

Tournaments Re-Scheduled Across the State

Because of the ice storm last week, several tournaments have been re-scheduled or canceled.

North West Region: The tournament scheduled for 2/20/21 on Granbury was cancelled and the 2021 trail shortened.

South East Region: The tournament scheduled for 2/20/21 on T-Bend was rescheduled for 3/28/21 on Sam Rayburn at Jackson Hill. That makes it a two day event on Rayburn. The 27th and 28th.

TBTT: The Texas Bassmaster Team Trail Qualifier #1 that was scheduled for 3/28/21 on Rayburn was moved up to 3/20/21. Still on Sam Rayburn and still at Jackson Hill.

South Region: The tournament scheduled for 2/21/21 on Amistad was postponed. No date has been set for a make-up event as of this date.
